There are times when God speaks to you in the stillness of the night and He shows Himself through words He gives. Sometimes those words He speaks are profound and need to be written down to remind you about His wonders.
God will often do that with me. He will give me words of praise to Him in the middle of the night. He will give me words to honor Him while I am praying and driving to work. He will give me words when something happens in life and we need His mercies to show us the way.
I have been writing songs to God since I was 24. I always wrote them for times of worship on my own. I never thought they were something for corporate songs to Him. When I was blessed with the opportunity to lead worship at Sioux Falls First in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I started believing God wrote these songs through me and the worship team: "First Alive".
It has finally come to be that God is encouraging me to record songs that we have written and played at church. There are songs that have yet to be played for others, but we would like to get to all ears that need to hear the gospel of Jesus.
There have been many people that have encouraged me to record these songs. They have already donated, which is extremely humbling. When God starts a fire, He brings others with torches to keep the fire burning and passing that torch to others.
My goal is for the songs that God has given to the First Alive worship team to be shared with anyone that needs hope, peace, life and Jesus. I long for people to be able to hand these songs to others in hope they will understand who Jesus is and what He has done in our own lives.
I am asking you to pray for this endeavor that God has placed in the hearts of First Alive. I ask you to encourage us with words. These are the most important things to me. I also ask you to prayerfully consider donating, but if you can not, pray God will move and create the provision.
There is no deadline for this to be made. We will wait until all the funds are there. You can donate on this website; you can also bring or send any donation you would like to the church office, with First Alive marked on the memo line or send/drop off at:
