First Year Engineer and Family: Hospital Recovery

Donation protected
On November 7th, a first-year engineering student at Queen’s University was struck in a hit-and-run and left in critical condition (Police Report here). She is still in the hospital fighting to recover. Her mom (Eun Jung Bu) has traveled to Kingston to support her and has not been able to return home or work during this time. As you can imagine, a situation like this can put a family under not only emotional pressure, but financial pressure.

Your donation would support us in:
  • Providing academic support for the student
  • Replacing the wages her mom is unable to earn while she stays in Kingston
  • Helping with fees for deferring exams/taking extended courses
  • Helping ease any financial pressure so they can focus entirely on recovery
Every dollar raised will go directly to the student’s family, allowing them to decide the best way to put the funds to use during recovery.

Queen’s University and Queen’s Engineering students pride ourselves on community, and we have a chance to help one of our own. Let’s do it! Thank you!
