This past weekend was supposed to be a milestone for Mason, my son, as he played in his first travel ball tournament with the OH Hitdogs 18U in the Dayton, Ohio area. We were excited for the experience and proud of his commitment to baseball, but our trip took an unexpected turn. On our first night staying at the hotel, our car was stolen. Inside the car was all of Mason’s baseball equipment, along with other personal belongings. The loss was devastating.
Mason is an incredible kid—hardworking, kind, and always looking out for others. He’s handled this setback with maturity and grace, but I can feel the energy of lostness in him. It’s tough to see someone so dedicated and positive face such a challenge, especially after all the effort he’s put into his baseball journey. Despite everything, Mason remains hopeful and determined to keep moving forward.
He has recently committed to playing baseball at Terra State Community College starting this fall. With the costs of school and now this disappointing experience, we’re dealing with a setback when it comes to funds to get Mason ready for his next adventure. The funds raised will go directly toward replacing his baseball equipment and helping him prepare for college and baseball.
Any support would mean the world to us as we help Mason recover from this setback and prepare for his next chapter. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for being part of our community during this difficult time.
