Help Queer Artists Build a Music Studio in Toronto
Donation protected
My name is Amalia, a black trans artist from Toronto. The past few years were not easy for me as I recovered from a complicated and invasive surgery. I became depressed during a long recovery. However, I had time to heal and reflect on who I wanted to be as an artist. Writing became an escape for me, and that’s when I realized that I wanted to express my trauma through the art of music.
Unfortunately, I was discouraged when I saw the prices for electronic music gear. After expressing how I felt to my friend Callum, we decided to build a music studio to collaborate in as queer artists. The funds will be used to procure equipment for our studio. We are looking to obtain a variety of integral pro gear, including audio interfaces, preamps, microphones, synthesizers, drum machines and monitors.
Thank you for donating to our fundraiser and helping queer artists continue to create music in a safe space.
