Hi, my name is Shyleah. I'm happily married to my partner Kass, and we're hoping to make this next step that will help us on our journey to independence. First, here's our story. Be prepared, I'll try to make it short, and there shouldn't be any triggering information so don't worry about that.

Apartments are way too expensive nowadays and we're horribly weighed down by debt and debt collectors. My health for whatever reason isn't the best at 26 years old, and I don't have any health insurance, so it's a grand combo. But living in a tow-along will be much more affordable and help us pay off our debts and be able to feed ourselves because that has been a challenge, unfortunately. We've been having to pinch our pennies really hard and would greatly appreciate any help.

If needs be, we would be happy to pay people back for whatever they give, with the idea that both parties are consenting to the transaction, and that we will pay you back as soon as we can within reason. We both have jobs; however, I only have a part-time job at the moment. Michigan has not been as fruitful or kind to us financially as we were hoping. Also, scam-artist-debt-collectors successfully hurting us financially, didn't help either.

One example was we had a company that was in charge of our gas for an apartment in Utah. We canceled it over the phone, but apparently, the process never went through. They called us months later saying we weren't paying our gas, and at this point, we live in Michigan. We tried everything we could think of but had no choice but to give them the money they wanted, and on top of that, I think they sent it to collections! We got mail from them, and they sent it to collections before they were supposed to according to the information on the mail they sent us. But long story short, it didn't matter, and we just had to pay them or suffer.

We've been attacked like this several times this year. We're learning that the world will be wicked sometimes if you let it, so we will try very hard not to let our guard down in the future and have learned some hard lessons this year. Now that I've shared a bit of our story which is only a small portion, trust me. I would like to introduce step 2. I really want to make a community and get some land where people can come for shelter and get a second wind like we will as well. One way or another I know we'll figure out how to get on our feet. It's just scary figuring that out in a world like this sometimes, and I want a place where people can feel safe when they have nowhere to go. I was inspired by a story someone shared with me, and I think we need more gentle considerate hero's like that in this world. I have a passion for learning about survival but especially how plants come in to play with that. So I will incorporate my studies in to that project as well. All the love in the world. -shy
