In 2002, the East York Cybernetics was created and consisted of a small group of students driven to compete. Since then, the "Cybernauts" have broadened participation of students throughout the school. It continues to attract students who are interested in developing their technical skills, interest in robots, spirit squad or even those who are curious about FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The participation of external mentors has also increased in recent years. They are able to bring real-world experience and expertise to encourage and inspire the students. The combination of growing student interest and the influx of external mentors has resulted in the actively growing list of accomplishments of team 907 in FRC.
Despite being an established team and winning a number of awards and recognitions, we are still underfunded. In order to compete, we need at least $7500 just to enter in the competition. This does not include parts, food or transportation. We are still $4000 short of what we need to compete in the 2020 Robotics Season.
