FIRST Robotics Championship in Houston

Hi, we are Leanne and Manveer and we are the First Dean's List finalists for Alberta. The Dean's List is an award for students in robotics who exemplify leadership, dedication, teamwork, innovation, and inclusion. As Alberta's finalists we will be going to the World Championship in Houston, Texas.

Our teachers nominated us for the award and we were each interviewed by a panel of judges. Judges also observed us at all of our robotics competitions this year. At the Provincial competetion in Red Deer (March 15-16), we selected as the Alberta Dean's List finalists.

We are so honoured to be representing Alberta. With this great accomplishment comes some big expenses. Although this reward is associated with our work in FIRST robotics through our school, we are responsible for covering all of the costs associated with the trip. This includes airfare, accommodations and ground travel to the event.

With your support, we can bring our passion for STEM to the World Championship in Houston.
