First Rescue Milka ❤️ With Large Tumor Growing Crushing Lung
Donation protected

Hello! My name is Kate, and this is Milka! She’s my world and my moms Milla Klack who is an TNR and helps rescue many cats! And we are Milkas world for 13 years. Unfortunately Milka has multiple masses growing, she had her first surgery in October 2023. A few more bumps popped up, and a concerning bump near her lung showed up on the X-rays in February 2024. The doctor was hesitant to perform surgery and told us to monitor it but it’s not life threatening to her right now. We don’t know much about cat cancer, she seemed in a rush and did not care. She didn’t inform us of options that could help, she made it seem like it not serious. She started breathing extremely bad a few days ago, we went to a new veterinarian and he took x rays and saw the lung mass grew exponentially! That it’s crushing her lung, she has fluid build up in her chest. He suggested euthanasia, and that it’s not operable. I declined, and just had her fluids removed from her lungs. Frantically now talking to specialists, and one said there is a CHANCE for her and it is OPERABLE. They would have to do radiation, chemo to make it smaller than attempt surgery. A small chance for her! Her blood work is perfect, her heart is perfect, she’s her normal self, but this nasty MASS is preventing her from breathing properly, and constantly have fluid build up. I made an oncologist appointment for next Thursday that’s only one available at the soonest date, I called many specialists. She doesn’t have much time. She either dies at home when I know she wants to live, or she dies trying to bring the mass down. I would never attempt to save her if I knew she didn’t have it in her, or if she wasn’t her normal self playing, giving me kisses, and following me all around the house as she usually does because we have the most special bond. Any type of help will help knowing that cancer is not a light situation. I wish our general vet was actually a vet who wanted to help, instead she’s overbooked and could care less, misinformed us; and unfortunately we might be too late but I know it’s worth a shot.
1) Our first step is to go to a vet to drain her fluid again before her oncologist appointment on 4/25 because the doctor said it will accumulate again and I want her as comfortable as possible.
2) Oncologist will do blood work, CT scan, and discuss options regarding chemo, radiation, and surgery.
