Sahar art camp Needs You.

We depend on the generosity of our community to create the first Moroccan camp of Burning man 2022. 

Our fully equipped camp will be a showcase of the Moroccan Culture. It will provide accommodation (Moroccan tents for 2 or 4 people), Food (late brunch & dinners with master chefs team), Mahia experience (Mixology inspired by Moroccan flavors), Performances, and Art installation (by our local artists).

Here’s what we’re doing with your contributions:

Help Moroccan artists to extend their radical self-expression to Black Rock City by allowing them to travel with their US visas, flight tickets, and art installations. Being more inclusive, and more diverse in the Playa by giving voice to the North African culture is one of our mission.

Supporting our cultural authenticity by bringing to Black Rock City our local food, spices, tea, and other flavors.

In fact, Morocco's gastronomy is the heart of our country, same as our camp, the Kitchen will be the heart of our community. We will be hosting many visitors every day to share wonderful meals.

Shipping infrastructures from Morocco while empowering our local artisans, bringing the roots of the nomadic culture to Black Rock City.

We are shipping Kaidal tents handmade by the people of the Sahara desert, but not only, we are also bringing local handcraft designs and architecture. Every object will tell you a story, from our carpets to the details of the lighting.

Together we will make it to Black Rock City and start uplifting our culture's roots to an international level. This will allow us to stand out from cultural appropriation.

Now more than ever, Morocco needs the innovative, inspired energy that emanates from Black Rock City and the global Burning Man culture. Working in symbiosis with the absorption of this heterotopia called home, which once carried out in the body, will allow us to deprogram our visible or invisible borders.
