The state of Minnesota has announced hotlines for neighbors to turn in neighbors for “violating social distancing,” and to report "disparate impact on minorities," which got us wondering, “Where’s the hotline to report government oppression?” We had to create one (844-RIGHTS-0).
This First Liberties Defense Fund will be used to help pay legal expenses in defense of individuals who've been persecuted for the exercise of their First Amendment rights and, where appropriate, to sue the government for violating those rights during this time of "shelter in place" and similar executive orders.
Funds are currently prioritized for the Free Minnesota Coalition lawsuit and appeal to end the governor's emergency powers.
