First Hand Foundation

We are a small group of young professionals who have challenged each other to raise awareness and funds to support children and families in need by supporting the First Hand Foundation.

 

First Hand Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) organization that provides funding for individual children—both domestically and globally—who need assistance with clinical necessities (such as surgery, medication and therapy), medical equipment, and travel related to care.

 

On their website they have a number of Case Grants sharing the stories of some of the children and their families that have benfited from this wonderful charity, but our favorite is the story of Lilliana and her mother Angela, who found themselves between a rock and a hard place with nowhere to turn before First Hand Foundation stepped in to help.

As a group we have set the bar at raising a minimum of $5,000 before October 25th. Upon reaching our goal we plan to join others who are passionate about this foundation at their annual Masquerade Ball on October 27th.
