FIRST Global Zimbabwe trip to the Robotic Olympics

Donation protected
The Zimbabwe Robotics Team requests support to facilitate their participation in a global robotics competition to be held in Dubai from 23 -27 October this year. FIRST Global Challenge is a yearly international robotics competition established by FIRST® to ignite a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among the more than two billion youths across the world. The Zimbabwe Robotics Team  was selected from a community of young innovators keen to use STEM to change the world called FIRST Global Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Robotics Team is comprised of five High School students (aged 14 to 18 years) from diverse backgrounds.

Zimbabwe needs innovative solutions tailored towards solving problems unique to the country and thus, students need to be exposed to the changes within the technological environment and be equipped with skills that are locally relevant and globally competitive

Donations from this campaign will go towards registration fees which cover their travel, accommodation and subsistence in Dubai as well as the robotics kit which they use to design and build their robot.

In return:

- for a gift of £450 or more, the team will conduct a day workshop at a school/club of your choice in Harare and surrounding areas.

- for a gift of £1700 or more  the team will conduct a workshop at any rural school/club of your choice (transport must provided).

Let’s join hands to support these young men and young women and lift our flag high as we showcase our youthful talent on the global arena.

Leading Zimbabwe into the future!!
