First full time permanent classroom flooded losing so much

Hi there, I’m fundraising for my classroom. I’ve been a teacher for over 10 years, however due to family circumstances and responsibilities I was an occasional teacher for most of them, collecting/ making things along the way. I couldn’t wait for the day that I would have my own classroom with my name on the door and I could finally turn it into the amazing learning environment I’ve always wanted to create for my students! I had the chance this past September with an amazing grade 4 class, however, was quickly changed to grade 7 class. I had to take everything down and hurriedly move it across the school. I had nothing for grade 7, I was starting from scratch.

A few months later, there was a flood on my floor and greatly affected my classroom. I tried to save what I could and had to set up yet another temporary classroom back where I started. I had a workplace injury soon after and while I was away for just a week, things were moved by my students back into the previously flooded room.

Things were destroyed, even items that were saved. No reimbursement was made. Any amount helps so I can begin again and build the amazing learning environment for my students that I’ve always dreamed of.

I will start by replacing my laminator/sheets and colour printed activities and resources for dynamic learning centres and supportive resources around the room. I will also invest in STEM resources for 21 century innovative, creativity problem solving focused learning. Thank you so much!
