Background: I worked as a Certified Pharmacy Tech for seven years. In 2017 I gave birth to my daughter. Working as a Pharmacy Tech, I didn’t make enough to care for my family. I invested in a permanent make-up course, which was ultimately the deciding factor in my career.

I received microblading in that same class, and it was a life-changing experience. I had felt the most beautiful I had ever felt in my life. Who knew having enhanced eyebrows could boost my self-esteem so much?! I obtained my temporary tattoo license in 2019. This time was my 200-hour apprenticeship. My passion for helping women feel as beautiful as I did had grown desperately. So, I went part-time to the pharmacy. Clientele grew over the next six months, and after leaving my first salon, I bounced around locations over the next three years. Over five years, I had become eight times certified. Traveling to different states to further my education and expand my knowledge in permanent make-up.

I was always asked to teach how to do eyebrows since I had gotten so good. I didn’t feel ready to do so, so I kept providing the service. I have serviced about 400 women. I've had more success stories than I can account for. I always make sure my clients are happy, even over time! After going through the ups and downs, I became comfortable with my art. I had created a technique of my own that had topped any course I had taken. I then made three courses that teach my method of eyebrow enhancement. In completing the classes that I have taught, there have been 20 women that I have certified. Out of those 20 women, four have since obtained their license, and the others are patiently waiting for me to open a space big enough to license them. As demand grows for my eyebrow enhancement technique, so do my classes.

Mission Statement: We seek donations for a BLACK OWNED PERMANENT MAKEUP TRAINING CENTER in Minnesota. The space we found is big enough to provide the apprenticeships necessary to succeed in this field and host classes. Our primary service, of course, will be eyebrow services including but not limited to Microshading, eyebrow threading & eyebrow tinting. Classes will be held on a month-to-month basis. After class, I can provide apprenticeships to those who want to further advance in the technique and become licensed tattoo artists and a place of employment. I want to continue to offer free services to women who have underlying conditions that have caused hair loss. After high school, I also want to teach them that learning a trade can guide them into being the best versions of themselves. Most importantly, doing something that they become to love can also earn them money. Teaching generational wealth, business ethics and much more.

The funds will go toward rent, renovations, training supplies, shop equipment, marketing, and sponsoring the free services. We have a complete business plan and a team of ready and eager professionals to work with. We are dedicated and determined to keep this dream alive. With this GoFundMe, this dream can become a reality!
