It’s been a rough year for our friend, author Lorraine Norwood. Within weeks of her relocation to North Carolina, where she moved to provide family support, Hurricane Helene hit. Lorraine was stranded for weeks in her new home without power. Restoration of internet and other basic services took even longer.
Now news that hits harder than a hurricane: Lorraine has been diagnosed with breast cancer. On top of the physical and emotional stress of the disease, financial strain is adding to her burden. Despite medical coverage, the cost of treatment is high. Although she is officially retired, Lorraine continues to work part time, and has been looking for additional paid work. With cancer treatment ahead of her, this has become an even more difficult prospect.
It’s time for her friends to step up, step in, and lend a helping hand! Please donate what you can to offset some of Lorraine’s lost income due to missing work for treatment, and help meet her medical expenses, so she can focus on her recovery. The sooner she kicks cancer, the sooner she can return to writing her captivating historical fiction, and enjoying her life. Her fans and friends are eagerly awaiting the sequel to The Solitary Sparrow!
