First 8 mile run walk for 5 years.

Well it is this Sunday! If anybody fancies coming down and cheering me on you are more than welcome. I aim to be sprinting across the finish line at about 0930 ish.

Hello my name is Harry Sowerby and I suffered a stroke on 24 March 2018.

On the 19 March 2023 I am going to run the Kingston 8 miler. Almost five years to the day! This will be the first run that I have signed up for and I thought that I would get my begging bowl out again.

Sadly since my stroke there have been many more strokes and sadly they do not end up lucky like I have been. Therefore I am also running on behalf of Georgina (Ballantine) Freedman who very sadly passed away about two weeks before Christmas after suffering a serious stroke.

Every stroke is different, from mild to severe. All those that have suffered them need support from family, friends and professionals. So please can you have a dig around the back of the sofa and send me what you find there. Every little bit helps.

I am raising money for the Stroke Association.
