Hello. My name is Giovanna and I'm raising firewood money for Hossam and his family in Gaza. I'll tell you how I vetted Hossam, met him, and found out of his very true and dire situation. But first, let me tell you why the fundraiser. Right now it is super cold in Gaza and a tent just isn't sufficient to keep warm. They need firewood and it is at a high cost. Right now firewood runs about $200 a month. I want to help him get through the next couple of cold months.

I found Hossam on TikTok while I was showing my young daughter live reels of people there asking for help, showing their courage, or just sharing what fun they try to have in between the sorrows.

I happened to stop on his live reel to show my daughter how it works, and how we are actually seeing a family in a war trying to make a connection to the world outside of their tent. It was a live feed and I started asking questions and he and his children would answer and send kisses. I could hear the drones flying overheard. It was very real. We talked through the live feeds for a few days and later I found him on Instagram where we also speak via messages.

But there are so many families out there I'm helping and I can't do it alone anymore. Please don't let your ego get in the way if you think only $10 is not enough. Don't let your ego get in the way if you are ashamed to give so little. Everything counts because every dollar helps this family buy something.
