On the 1st of November 2025, I will be taking part in a sponsored firewalk in order to raise funds for the RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch.
I will be walking barefoot on hot coals, which can reach up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.
I've chosen to take part in this firewalk in order to raise funds for local animals in need. I am also doing this firewalk in memory of my own little rescue cat, Nala, who I sadly lost in November 2023.
After I had to have Nala put to sleep, I had lots of her toys and treats left over that I wanted to gift to animals who didn't have a home yet. After looking online I came across the RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch and gave them a call to see if they were okay to take these items.
When I popped into the centre I was very impressed with the place and how lovely the staff were and I was happy that Nala's toys and treats would be gifted to other cats to enjoy.
The RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire Branch is a self-funding branch of the RSPCA responsible for raising funds locally to support our animal welfare work. Our main aims are to promote responsible pet ownership and to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home those animals in need, finding them loving, permanent homes. We operate an animal rehoming centre in Chesterfield that cares for over 100 rescued animals at any one time.
Any donation you are able to make to my fundraiser will go towards helping abused and neglected animals in need.
If you aren't able to donate yourself, please share so other people can see :)
Please remember to click the gift aid box as well!
Thank you so much for reading and donating to/sharing my fundraiser,
