On the night of Friday July 13th, an electric fire started in our aunt Kate's bedroom, and rapidly spread through her home. The flames and smoke destroyed much of the house itself and the majority of her possessions, claiming the lives of several of her beloved animals in the process.

While she does have homeowner's insurance, she is naturally facing an enormous financial burden in the upcoming weeks and months. Temporary housing, replacing possessions, and the more long-term needs involved in rebuilding her home are adding up and will continue to do so.  Anything you can contribute would help ease that burden for her in this unbelievably trying time.

We will be updating as we know more about potential repairs, renovations, etc. We (and Kate) are so grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from you all.
