Support the Gubernick family

 

You all know GUBE...Paramedic, Firefighter, Mentor, Field Trainer, Friend, Brother, Husband, Father and Grandfather... As many of you know, our friend Jon Gubernick has faced a few battles lately.  After over 20 years of honorable public service in the Fire and EMS profession, he was unexpectedly medically retired.  Although his injuries occurred on duty, his worker's comp payout and disability pale compared to the income he was bringing home before his injury.  Additionally, there will be a significant time lag in his transition between work paychecks and disability payments.  He is the breadwinner of his household, and he will never be able to work in the fire service again. Jon and his immediate family have recently experienced several major medical emergencies, including cancer and open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, this has left them with significant financial burdens.  No one is ready for a career-ending injury that affects their ability to provide for their family and now leaves them in constant pain.  The guy who has answered countless calls for service over the years needs our help.

 

No one can dispute that Gube’s been there for us.  Our bro has had our backs, whether it was a phone call to “check-in,” mentor a new employee, back you up on a critical call, laugh, or provide some solid grounding perspective.  Please share his story with those who don’t know him and encourage them to donate to a good cause.  Let’s help the Gubernick family get a jumpstart on their transition to the next chapter of their lives. This good man with a servant's heart would do the same for any of us.
