Firefly For Nick Campbell
I am one of the caregivers for Nick Campbell who suffered a devastating stroke affecting his left side, speech, memory, and mobility leaving him wheel-chair bound on May 25, 2017. He lives with Collette, his sister and her husband, Rusty. He is from Calumet City and was in the Air Force. Nick went to area schools, lived in Lynwood, and was also a small business owner in the insulation business. Now he struggles to get in an out of bed everyday. The left side is completely paralyzed. I came across the video for the Firefly which would help him be more independent by attaching to the front of his wheel chair thus giving him a motor to compensate for the the left sided paralysis. The aqua therapist agree that water therapy would help him as the left arm is heavy to move with his right hand, and may help the pins and needles pain he has plus help the separated shoulder. At $100.00 out of pocket expense, this therapy is out of the question financially. We desperately need your help to make the Firefly a reality and the Aqua Therapy happen. Please join us in giving Nick, a veteran, the help he needs, and what insurance won't cover. Hopefully we can raise the money needed before the end of the summer so Nick can enjoy the outside with the help of the Firefly.
