Firefighters who lost a home from the Kincade Fire

Tax deductible
The Kincade Fire broke out in the hills above Geyserville on the night of October 23, 2019. On October 26th wind picked up sending the fire racing through Alexander Valley and Knights Valley. The fire eventually burned 174 residential structures.

Two of those structure belonged to volunteer firefighters who battled the fire, protecting the community and other structures while their homes burned. These firefighters are the very definition of heroes. Receiving no compensation for their work, not wavering from their responsibility and continuing to work to protect others all while knowing their homes were destroyed or about to be destroyed by the fire.

These funds will be collected by the Geyserville Volunteer Firefighters’ Association and distributed by the GVFA to those affected by the fire. Should this drive exceed our original goal we will expand our contribution to other 1st responders who lost homes. Or set the money aside for future impacts to firefighters in Northern Sonoma County who are affected by fires.

This GoFundMe drive can easily be verified by contacting the Geyserville Fire Protection District by phone or sending us a message on Facebook.
