On behalf of the Framingham Firefighters Local 1652, we are raising funds to help the family of our fallen brother, Keith Cashman. We’re raising funds to help his family through this difficult time and to ease the financial burden of funeral costs and daily living expenses.
Less than two weeks ago, the unthinkable happened; one of the most beloved and respected members of our Union suddenly passed away from a heart attack. Unfortunately, a sad reality about being a firefighter is that we are nearly twice as likely to experience cardiac events as the general public. We are raising money to support his family during this difficult time.
A third-generation Firefighter, Keith had over 15 years as a firefighter. He was first appointed to the position in Fall River in 2010 and joined Framingham FD in 2015. He proudly served on Group 3 at Station 5, assigned to the Rescue Co. He was the type of guy you want on your truck when going to a fire: knowledgeable, fearless, and professional. He was known for many things: his kindness, culinary skills, sense of humor, and, more than anything else, his love for his family.
Our department is devastated by his loss. While we will deeply miss Cash, we know his family will feel his absence even more. He was the husband of Erika L. (Karam) Cashman, to whom he had been married for the past 30 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin Cashman of Fall River; twin daughters, Cassidy and Angelina Cashman, both of Swansea; one sister, Debra Furtado; one brother, Joe Furtado; and two grandchildren, Jayden and Kiva Cashman, all of Fall River. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-law relatives.
We want to support his family during this difficult time. They are grieving heavily from his loss; financial worries should be the last thing on their minds. Please give what you can to help them.
