Firefighter In Need

Thank you for taking the time to read over this and help my family out. I am a full time, professional firefighter for the busiest station in the State of Alabama. Back on June 23, 2018 I jumped off a 4' retainer wall, something I had done hundreds of times. Well this time I snapped my leg and the end result was a compound fracture of the tib/fib.   Well needless to say, I was in a bad situation. I spent the next 5 days in the hospital, where I was overdosed with pain medication and stopped breathing and my wife had to endure the crash cart and team rushing to my room to revive me. Fortunately they were successful!  Fast forward 7 months, my leg is still not healed. I have what is referred to as a non-union. Since I did not injure myself on the job, I quickly burned through my sick time and eventually ran out. At that point, I lost my insurance and any pay coming my way. I guess savings never goes as far as one would hope. Here is a current look at my leg, seven months after my injury and surgery.  As you can see it still has not healed and I am still in a great deal of pain. I have two plates and approximately 20 screws in my leg. I have tried to go back to work at the fire dept, however I am physically unable to pass the tests to get back to work. I now have news that I may be requiring an additional surgery and without insurance, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.  I truly hate to even ask, I honestly never thought I would be in this situation. However, I have had several people ask me to put this together and now I have no choice but to ask for help.  Thank you all in advance and even if you can't help monetarily, I would truly appreciate your prayers!
