Firefighter, Father of 4, Needs New Lungs

We are fundraising for Tom Burrell's medical bills.

 

Tom has spent his whole life, giving to the community as a Firefighter, Boy Scout leader, and coach. He has positively impacted many lives, including my sons, as their Eagle Scout advisor. Now it’s my turn, our turn to support him.

 

On March 26th Tom thankfully received his new lungs but this is just the beginning of his return to his former life. His recovery will take months and the medical bills will extend out for several years. The anti-rejection medications alone will cost approximately $500 per month indefinitely. These first 3 months will be especially difficult, as he cannot live at home with his children. Jennifer, his wife, will be missing minimally 1 to 3 months of work to help care for him.

 

Help us minimize the financial burden of the lung transplant and subsequent care, and help Tom’s family focus on healing him. Let’s help Tom return to his life as an active and loving father, husband, and friend.
