Hi, my name is Vito Vacirca, and I’m the Deputy Chief of the Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad in Hopewell, New Jersey.

I’m reaching out to the world on behalf of one of our most dedicated members and my best friend — James "Jamie" Minch — who recently suffered the unimaginable when his home was destroyed by fire. James, his father, and his two children have lost nearly everything from their home in Ewing, NJ.

James has grown up in a life of service to others. He’s a volunteer firefighter with Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad, an EMT with Virtua in Gloucester City, and a long-time volunteer with the Special Olympics New Jersey Medical Team. Whether responding to emergencies, helping athletes, or supporting his community, James is always there when people need him.

Now, he needs our help.

This GoFundMe has been created to help James and his children recover, rebuild, and move forward. Your donation will go directly toward assisting with temporary housing, replacing essential belongings, and helping them find stability in the midst of this chaos.
