Firefighter Dustin Short was injured while heroically rescuing a victim from a burning building. 

This incident occurred while Dustin was not on duty with the fire department. Due to Dustin not having firefighting equipment nearby, he was exposed to hot gases which resulted in severe lung injuries.

Firefighter Short was successful in removing the victim from the burning building and showed incredible courage during this incredible circumstance. Get well soon!
