Firefighter Driggers needs our help!
These times are tough and no-one knows that more than Firefighter Chris Driggers. Christopher has dedicated almost 2 decades to public service. Driggers has been a Tampa Firefighter for 3.5 years now and previously a Georgia Firefighter for 12 years. He is loved and respected by his crew and the general public. His love and devotion of being a civil servant was met with a drastic twist of fate. A fate we have all known lately. Firefighter Driggers contracted Covid-19 while protecting the citizens of Tampa. After day 11 of difficulty with breathing he did something he never thought he would have to do. He called for 911 services as he was unable to breathe.
Driggers spent 3 nights in the hospital and was pumped full of steroids, medications, and oxygen. He was even close to being intubated and fought for his life alone in a Covid ward of a hospital. However, under the new guidelines Covid is not covered under exposure for firefighters and paramedics. This means that Firefighter Driggers is on his own for an illness he received on the job.
We firefighters are a family and unfortunately that family has had to give a lot lately to help all of our fellow brothers and sisters as we are met with heavy times, illnesses, and are left to figure it out on our own. Chris Driggers needs your help. Just as he has helped so many people in the last 16 years of his career. Please give what you can. He would do it for you, without hesitation. Thank you for your consideration and your willingness to help.
