Thank you for looking at this update (September 2025) and for taking the time to help us.

This journey started back in 2020 and has led us to Houston Methodist Hospital (Houston TX). Pam arrived here by medical jet on August 26th, 2025, due to critical failures of her liver and ultimately her kidneys. The team of nurses and doctors have been amazing and have treated Pam with the utmost care. She has been intubated since arriving as she was septic and gravely ill with a MELD of 46. She had already beaten the statistics of 90-day survival given the MELD score (44 from May) and was fighting to stay alive. I would not have made it.

I am now sitting in the ICU of Houston Methodist looking at my wife who has been transplanted with a new liver and kidney as of today, September 7th, 2025. We were refused the chance to live from at least 10 other transplant centers (not all created equal). It was difficult to hold on to faith and understand it's not my plan, but God's. Because of HIS plan, I don't know how we could be in a better, more giving institution.

God has provided my wife with this opportunity through the life of another. I do know the donor came from out-of-state and I want to thank the donor family, from my very being, for their choice to provide the gift of life that has been passed to my wife Pamela.

The healing and recovery process has started. We have a long road ahead. I hope that she can have the breathing tube removed in the coming days and pray that we will not have any major setbacks.

We are required to stay in the Houston area for a number of months depending on progress making the logistics numerous. If you know anyone here, it would be great to meet them.

Thank you for staying with us over the years and for your continued prayers and support.
