For the last 8 years I have served as an editor, journalist, copywriter, Director of Marketing, and more at LifeSiteNews.

On Monday, July 7, I received a call from Human Resources near the end of the day at 4pm. I was informed that I was being fired for "performance" related issues.

I did not receive any previous warnings for poor performance - or advice on areas needing improvement. Neither was my boss on the call to explain the specific reasoning for my dismissal.

My last paycheck was Friday, July 11. I was not given any severance and my health insurance runs out at the end of the month.
