Mother and 5 year old son injured in house fire

Portia is a loving, caring and heartwarming mother who's always been there for her family and friends.  She has always been the one to give before she receives . On the night of December 1, 2020, Portia was home with her son Nehemiah in their basement apartment. They were getting ready for bed when a loud expulsion occurred, and a fire broke out. Portia and her 5-year-old son were trapped and unable to escape. Due to the heroic efforts by Firefighters they were able to pull the two out the blazing flames and thick smoke. Portia and Nehemiah barely survived ultimately losing all their possessions. Nehemiah being protected by flames by his mother suffered serious injuries and  was  to have only been alive still due to his mother's incredible efforts. As for Portia she suffered critical life-threatening injuries, she was rushed to the hospital having to receive medical attention immediately. Portia is currently unable to breathe on her own needing life support to live through each hour of the day. Nehemiah has been released from the hospital and is currently staying with his grandmother. Portia has constantly shown what a great mother she is by putting her child first. Portia and family would love to make this Christmas a happy one and we are asking for any help during this difficult time.
