Fire Took Their Home — Let’s Help Them Start Again

On October 1, a fire broke out on Becket Street in Dorchester and spread quickly to Jeannie, Joseph, and Ashley’s apartment on Dorchester Ave. We’re incredibly grateful that they are safe (and that Oreo and Espresso, their cats, were rescued), but their home was destroyed.

The Red Cross provided a hotel last night, but they now face the challenge of finding a new apartment and replacing essentials lost in the fire. A crisis like this is both emotionally and financially devastating.

So many people have already reached out asking how they can help. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the first month, last month, and a security deposit on a new place, along with basic necessities to get them started again.

They are beyond grateful for any support you can give.
