Hello! My name is Kathy and I am helping to raise funds for a dear friend of mine, Karen Jones Lewis, who along with her family, lost their home to fire on Friday, August 1st. Karen and I have been friends since elementary school and I hope you will join me in supporting Karen and her family.

Update! The family of five lost their home to fire on August 1st. One of her grandsons had leg surgery on August 5th and is recovering in conjunction with physical therapy several times a week. There have been meetings with adjusters and a contractor. August 21st they will move into a temporary home while their home is being rebuilt which will likely take a year. While they are being very frugal, needed home essentials and meals are adding up. Feeding a family of five adds up quickly.

The first round of fundraising went very well and the initial goal was reached. I have raised the goal in an effort to continue to try and help Karen and her family stay afloat and continue to get back on their feet. We are so close to reaching $7,000!
