Fire Took Denise and Brian's Home and Beloved Cats

In the very early hours of Monday, May 12, my sister and BIL, Denise and Brian Nohner, lost their home in a tragic fire driven by strong winds. The fire destroyed nearly everything—their home, their belongings, and most heartbreakingly, their beloved cats Boo Boo and Cee Cee.

They had only moments to escape (no glasses, no cell phones, Brian only in his underwear). The trauma of watching their home and cherished cats vanish in flames is unimaginable. They are safe, but the loss is overwhelming and life-altering.

They are now starting from zero—without clean clothes, essential items, or a place to live. The immediate needs are urgent and vast. This fundraiser will help cover cleaning salvageable clothing and items from the home, temporary housing and rebuilding their life. Thankfully, their vehicles were not damaged in the fire.
