Fire Took Our Home: Macrae Family Needs Help

My name is Tom Macrae and until recently I lived at 1348 Goucher Street in Pacific Palisades with my wife, Carol and son, Rory. On Tuesday morning of the 7th January, fire started close to our home. We had just moved into it 8 weeks prior, furnished it all and decorated it for Christmas for the family visiting from Scotland. At lunchtime, we got a mandatory evacuation order and 30 minutes to leave. We grabbed a few essentials and left. our neighbour stopping to give us a lift to the city and safety. By 16:30 that day, our home was on fire and totally destroyed. Unable to get fire insurance, we lost everything we had in our ten years in LA. Losing all the sentimental stuff was heartbreaking. The last week has been spent in the city trying to come to terms with this disaster. We are trying to raise $20,000 to help us rent a furnished place and start building our life again. We would appreciate any help you could give.
