Hello! On Easter Sunday we lost everything due to a fire. Anyway you can help would be greatly appreciated even if it’s just prayers. Here is our story.
Rylee & I drove up to Perrysburg Saturday night so we could spend all of Easter with Ethan. We had an amazing day the 3 of us together. One that if you have/had a child in college is hard to come by especially when they are a college athlete.
After our amazing visit Rylee & I got to come home only to find out that our condo had caught on fire while we were gone and we lost EVERYTHING! It was such an awful feeling knowing all the pictures we had and all the back ups were gone. Our clothes. Our shoes. Our gaming systems. Our sports equipment. Our EVERYTHING. We got home about 6:30pm and by the time everyone was gone between the fire fighters & fire investigators and the Red Cross left it was pretty much 6 hours later at 12:30am. Rylee spent the night at her dads but was devastated.
The next day I was on the phone with someone in regards to our home burning down and she said do you have any questions? I started crying and said the only question I have is how do I rebuild our lives when everything we owned is gone except the clothes we have on? She said one day at a time & the rest of the day I was just kind of numb.
This week the numbness hasn’t went away except for when the kids mention something the realize they lost. For Rylee it’s been her Taylor Swift Record & shoe collection. She collected rare Nike’s and they were all limited something she prided herself on paying 1/2 of the price for. For Ethan it was his tie dye baseball glove he got as a graduation present from Eric to match his brother Carson’s and golf things & Senior year of HS memorabilia.
I think it’s something you can never understand unless you’ve been threw it. I included a picture the firefighter took for me as I couldn’t breathe inside because all of the toxins. Thank you again for all the prayers, there can never be enough ❤️
