Fire Season Sucks #GrizzlyStrong
Last night 90% of our community burned to the ground. We have been fortunate so far. Our house is one of a few still standing.
If you have lived in Grizzly Flats, you know how many absolutely amazing people there are there. One such person is a very close friend of mine. She is the most incredibly sweet, thoughtful, caring, and funny people you’d ever meet. She is also one of the toughest people I know. She is a single mom, raising her seven year old son in the community she loves (he is one of Josie’s best friends). She works in the community, volunteers every chance she gets and is always willing to go out of her way to help anyone who needs it.
Her home, work and her sons school were all lost in the fire. Her parents left her her house before they died, so she owns it outright. She was doing what she could to get by and, with the drastic increase in prices over the past couple years, could not afford fire insurance. She is now jobless and homeless.
She has no idea I am creating this GoFundMe. I just want to try and give her a little cushion while she gets her feet back under her. Anything you can give would be amazing.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart ♥️
