Fire Relief Support for Laura Burla & Family

On Friday May 19th, 2023, an unimaginable tragedy happened for many St James families. A fire started on the fourth floor in one of the Quail Ridge apartment buildings. The fire started directly above Laura Burla and her families' home. Her family, like many others, made it out with just the clothes on their back, and a wallet/purse. Laura, her husband, and son have lost absolutely everything in the fire. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

Laura has been the Executive Director at St James Montessori Nursery School (located in Lincoln Middle school) for 11+ years. Laura has made SJMS the fantastic program that it is today through her dedication and commitment to our children and the St James community.

Laura has spent 24+ years working in childcare, helping children and families right here in our local community. Anyone who has had the opportunity to have met Laura, knows how she is always willing to lend a hand to help others. I am hoping our community can now help Laura and her family during this tragic loss.
