Fire Relief Fund for Vaughn Newman & His Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ginny Siano-Eck and I am starting the fundraising account for a dear friend Vaughn Newman and his family. Vaughn is a beloved member of our dance community and he has suffered a tremendous loss. Saturday evening Vaughn lost his home and all his personal belongings in a house fire. He also lost all his costumes for his dance studio which were being stored in the home while he was working on his new dance studio. Vaughn taught contemporary dance at Foothills Dance Conservatory for nine years before moving to Greenville to start Greenville's first Contemporary Dance Company. Currently Vaughn is working on a 1.600 sq ft space to house The Studio- Home of Vaughn Newman Dance in Anderson. The Grand Opening was scheduled for the end of January. For the last 12 years, Vaughn has appeared as the Mouse King in Foothills Conservatory for the Performing Arts production of the Nutcracker. This past December, he added the role of the lead Father in the party scene. Vaughn was recognized as "Artist of the Year" at Warehouse Theatre's Gala this past October in Greenville. You can help Vaughn at this devastating time by donating here or if you are local an account has been set up at all Oconee Federal Banks under the Vaughn Newman Relief Fund. Also if you are local to Pickens, off of Shady Grove Road about 0.5 miles from the Mobile gas station please be on the look out for Vaughn's sweet dog who is missing. (Photo attached)
