Fire relief fund for Tonia Hanson and Paul Clement
Donation protected
Paul and Tonia are very good friends of mine and unfortunately lost everything in the Camp Fire and are now dealing with the loss of their replacement house in Oroville, Ca due to the Bear Fire. I can't imagine what they are going through as they try and grieve, process, and deal with this all over again. I know they just purchased a travel trailer to live in again until they are able to figure out their next move. They own several animals such as horses, goats, chickens, and dogs that they are also trying to care for.
I've learned after dealing with the Camp Fire myself that any ounce of help is huge in times like this. Finances can be tight as you have to re-purchase clothes, food, toiletry items, cooking items, etc. They already had to replace these items once before and now they are doing it again.
Watching Paul and Tonia go through this again just breaks my heart and I wish I could wave a magic wand and take away their pain, stress, and make things go back to where they were but I can't. The only way I know how to try and help them through this tough time is to try and take away some of the financial burden off them. Many people ask what they can do or where they can donate items to those that have lost everything in a fire. The truth is most of the physical donations such as furniture fire victims don't have a place to put those items and to be honest picking out the things for their new life just helps them feel that much more in control of their new life. When I went through this during the Camp Fire the biggest help for us were gift cards and monetary donations. So if you want to help them please donate to this fundraiser, share it, or donate a Gift Card to your local Batteries Plus Bulbs Store in either Redding, Chico, Yuba City, or Vacaville. Paul works at the Batteries Plus store in Chico.
