On Nov. 8, 2018 my aunt Scotti became a victim to the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise California. She lived on Wilderness Way in a mobile home community that consisted of mostly elderly retirees. She is 71 years old and living on a very limited income. She went from being a homeowner, to being homeless, all in a matter of minutes. She had just saved up enough to finally buy herself a car, and now there’s nothing left but a burned out, scorched frame. She was out of town on a Missions trip for her church when the fire raced through her community, so unfortunately she didn’t have a chance to grab anything she cared about from her home. All of her memento’s, photo’s, family heirlooms, clothing, memories, and valuables were destroyed. As of today, these are the only belongings she has left: 3 dresses, a pair of sandals, a few toiletries, her purse, a pen, her bible, and her dog Nacho.
Everything she’s worked for her entire life is gone! I can’t even begin to imagine how devastated she must feel. But, I’d like to do what I can to make her life a little easier during this difficult time, so I’m asking everyone out there who finds it in their heart to help a fellow human in need to please consider donating if you can. For the short term she just needs basic necessities (clothing, shoes, food, toiletries, dog food, etc.), and possibly money for a rental car, but further down the road she’ll need help finding a replacement vehicle and somewhere affordable to live in California on a retiree’s budget. If anyone has any unused gift cards laying around that you don’t need and would like to donate (Target, Wal-Mart, etc.), it would be greatly appreciated. These items can be sent to my mom at the following address (Scotti will be staying with her for the next few weeks) c/o Carrie K. @ 1456 E. Philadephia Street, Space #164, Ontario, California 91761. 100% of all money raised and items received will go directly to my aunt Scotti.
This is a photo of her property. There is nothing left :(
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We understand that time are tough these days, but if you find it in your heart to help we would be forever grateful. If you aren’t in the position to donate, I'd like to ask that you please consider sharing this on Facebook to get the word out.
