I met Melissa Watkins and her mother Robin White at the United Methodist Church in Woburn when I was 6 years old. We became fast friends, a friendship that brought us through middle school, high school, and into adulthood. Robin was like a second mom to me growing up.

Early Saturday morning, April 10, Melissa left the house to get coffee for her family and came back to her family evacuating to the front lawn. In that short amount of time, a space heater set the basement ablaze and quickly spread to the rest of the house. Robin, her son Jay, and Melissa's 3 year old daughter Lylah all safely evacuated in time and watched their home go up in flames. A home that they had shared in Woburn for over 20 years, and Jay's daughter Morgan also shared part time.

Needless to say, while the family is safe, the loss is devastating. Material items can be replaced, but the memories and keepsakes will take awhile to mourn their loss. Thankfully insurance will be able to help, but there will be many added expenses over the next few months as they rebuild from scratch an entire lifetime worth of belongings.

We love you all and want to do our part to help you get back on your feet. ❤❤❤
