On 2/10/19, in Marmora, NJ, my younger brother Phillip Sorento was in his bedroom when he stepped out and noticed smoke. In mere moments a fire had engulfed the building of the apartment that he and his roommate Mason shared. With flames blocking the one and only exterior exit, they had to escape through a second-story window. Thankfully, a fast-acting construction worker who was across the street was able to provide a ladder to aid them in their escape before fire trucks arrived. Though they made it out unharmed, with only the clothing on their backs, they are now homeless and have lost every material possession they owned, including vehicles. I am looking to help my brother as he had no insurance and is forced to completely start over at this time. I would be beyond grateful for anything you can spare to help during this traumatic situation.
