Fire Relief Fund for Katie Kammerer
My name is Jennifer, I am writing to you from Seattle, WA, and fundraising on behalf of my friend Katie. Katie's apartment complex burned down on September 8th 202 due to the fires in Phoenix, Oregon. Katie thankfully was able to evacuate to Grants Pass the night of the fire, but her home and belongings have been destroyed.
This fundraiser is to keep her financially afloat while dealing with the aftermath of the fire, and to defray some of the costs of finding a new place to live. This money will cover necessities including gas, car payments, car and health insurance, groceries, medications, toiletries, food for her cat, clothing, and temporary housing.
Katie is a teacher and an artist, and was already negatively affected by the pandemic shutdowns, and now with nowhere to return to live or work.
Katie has been my friend and a peer since 2016 when we met working at Island Shakespeare Festival on Whidbey Island, WA. Katie in an expert planner and organizer as well as an artist, and in 2018, she enthusiastically donated her time to be the Coordinator and Event Manager for my and my now husband's wedding, traveling from Southern Oregon without asking for a dime. She is a giving, kind, and wonderfully generous person. Please help her if you can.
