On Monday, February 8, 2021, we received a call saying our home of 23 years was on fire. The house was fully engulfed by the time the fire department arrived and was a total loss. We lost almost all of our personal belongings and cherished items; some that can never be replaced. Especially Cisco, our blue and gold macaw, who was part of the family for 21 years. When we left our home that morning, we never would have imagined it would be our last time seeing our home.

While we are devastated and working through the shock and grief, we are also trying to plan ahead.  Our goal is to rebuild, but we have found out from the insurance company that we are underinsured for both our personal property and our home.

It is humbling for John and me to ask for help.  We are asking for your donations to help with the cost of rebuilding our family home and to offset some of the expenses we are going to incur during the next couple of years.
