Fire Relief Fund for an Edgewood Family
Donation protected
On May 19, 2021, Ron and Mal were home with their 8-year-old granddaughter Brook-Lynn when a neighbor knocked on the window to tell them that their apartment was on fire. Brook-Lynn and Mal, with her oxygen tank, got out of the home safely. Ron immediately ran up to the third floor apartment with a fire extinguisher to ensure his neighbors were also safe. There were no injuries sustained, but the family lost everything - including their home.
Ron, Mal, and their grandchildren are still recovering from the death of their daughter Katy. Two years ago, Katy passed away in an accident related to another fire. Ron and Mal are guardians to Katy's two children, so they are facing enormous amounts of financial and emotional stress. We are hoping to provide any support we can to alleviate the strain of these enormous losses.
