Fire Relief for Susan Macfarlane
Donation protected

Cherished friends and community,
My heart goes out to all that have been affected by the Almeda Drive Fire. My mom, Susie Macfarlane, is one of many who have lost their homes over the last couple days in Southern Oregon. In the panic of a 15-minute evacuation notice, she escaped with the clothes on her back, our family dog Maya, and her next-door neighbor. This is a tragedy and all tangible objects were lost, but what is most important is she is safe and sound staying with my sister.
As a 40-year resident of Southern Oregon she embodies the essence of our treasured community. She is an extraordinary mother and best friend to my sister Rachel and I. She has devoted her life to our success and happiness. Over that time you have likely eaten her exceptional cuisine as she has been a chef/cook at Omar’s, Chateaulin, Winchester Inn, Larks, and the Chateau at Oregon Caves National Monument.
Susie is the strongest person I know and we will get through this. However, we need help getting my mom back on her two feet and under a stable roof. This type of devastation is going to require financial assistance that stretches outside our family circle. As for many, life has not been a walk in the park for my family financially. Please share and donate whatever you can. A small amount among a large group goes a long way. The money donated will be used as a stepping stone to help build a new home from scratch and replace everything that was lost.
You have my family’s gratitude and love. Thank you for the support.
