Fire Relief for Patti Beamsley

On July 27th, my mom's life changed drastically. A fire that started in a nearby unit to her apartment took over the building and took with it her near-every earthly possession. Decades of sentimental items from her late parents, childhood, family photos--gone. And we are left to believe at this time that even her best buddy, Edgar (her cat) went up in flames and smoke. At this loss, she is devastated. She is left with a bandaged arm (from cat scratches attempting to get the cat to go with her as the firefighters urged her to get out), her cane, and thankfully, her life.  We are so grateful she is OK, physically speaking, but this will be a long road ahead.
For those who know Mom, you know she has always been generous in giving her time and energy. She has always worked hard, and been resilient through many losses in her life. She feels uneasy (to say the least) to be in a position where she is seeking financial help, but she will have to rebuild her life, and she can not do it alone.
