In the aftermath of an extremely difficult and trying year, 2021 has become just as crazy. My name is Angela Dela Cruz and while it is uncustomary for us to ask, my roommates Austen Gibbs, Akeem LaValley, and my boyfriend Nik Ratiner and I need your help.
On March 18th, a house that we had worked on so hard to make a home, was up in flames due to an electrical fire that started in the walls between our house and our neighbor’s.
The best-laid plans never prepare you for a house fire and now we find ourselves with our home destroyed, displaced, and financially unprepared to deal with the fallout of the fire.
Thankfully we are safe and have amazing friends who are housing us temporarily, and we have stood united as a roommate family, and as a family, we are asking for your help.
I know that the last year has been tough on us all, but any support and love you can afford will mean the world to my little roommate family during this unexpected and unprecedented crisis.
