Fire Relief for Nils, Mom, and Brother

Hi, my name is Cathy, and in a time where we feel very helpless with what is going on in the California wildfires, this, besides prayer and starting a drive to send clothing to those in need, I feel is a way to help my daughter‘s boyfriend Nils, his mom, brother, and little dog who just lost absolutely everything in the Pacific Palisades fires. It has happened so quickly; she was just there with them in this beautiful town less than a week ago, and this happened and took everything away from them. Nils is a kind-hearted, caring, and hardworking person who has been taking care of his mom and family since they lost their home recently to floods. As they started the process to rebuild, the fires happened, and they were told they must leave and evacuate with nothing but themselves and their dog. After walking many miles, they did find refuge in a hotel Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Their hopes were to go today to retrieve any of their important belongings, documents, their mom's clothing, their clothing, many guitars and instruments that were part of Nils and his brother's careers, as well as video equipment that was part of his business. Everything was gone, burnt, gone. My other daughter lives in Beverly Hills, and thankfully their evacuation was lifted earlier today, and her place was spared, but she is in touch with Nils trying to help as well. Honestly, I really don’t know where to begin with donations or even what kind of dollar amount to put on helping them that would even start to make a difference, but I can’t just sit by and do nothing. This is the only thing living clear across the country that I thought could start to help him and his family rebuild and restart their lives. I cannot begin to wrap my head around this sheer devastation, and I wish I could help everyone that is suffering from what has happened. I am Cathy, the mom of Nils' girlfriend. I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and my full intention is to share these donations with Nils, his mom, and brother for the use of clothing, food, blankets and bedding, furniture, rent for a place to live, vehicle, food for their dog, medication, and supplies to live with, since they lost absolutely everything to sustain a normal life.
